Minimum Job Requirements

Language Proficiency:

  • English: Fluent (written and spoken) – essential for communicating with students, parents, and team members.
  • Japanese: Not required.

Residency & Visa:

  • Must currently reside in Japan. (We are not accepting overseas applicants at this time.)
  • Must hold a valid work-permitting visa (e.g., work visa, spouse visa, or long-term resident visa). No sponsorship is available at this time.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Psychology, or a related field.

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience working with children in educational, afterschool, or camp settings.

Certificates/Licenses (Preferred):

  • TEFL, TESOL, IB, Montessori, or similar certifications are an advantage.
  • Certifications in child development, art, drama, or music are highly valued.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to actively participate in sessions (games, movement, physical activities).
  • Comfort working with children ages 3–18 (flexibility across age groups is preferred).

Work Days/Hours:

  • Part-Time: Weekdays, Sessions will be one hour long between 10.30 AM - 4.30 PM (depending on partner school schedules).
  • Full-Time (Optional): Will include additional hours for program development, business support, and events.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in afterschool programs, camps, or extracurricular activities.
  • Familiarity with implementing creativity-based, skill-building educational programs.
  • Willingness to travel between partner schools (travel expenses covered).
  • Flexibility for occasional morning or weekend events during peak periods.

We are looking for  enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as  Afterschool Program Instructors . You will conduct engaging sessions for students aged 3–18, making learning fun, memorable, and meaningful.

For the right candidate, a full-time role is available, which includes additional responsibilities in business operations, content development, and school coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct interactive sessions in areas such as storytelling, drama, art, STEM, and creative problem-solving.
