Job Description

Our client, an architecture powerhouse, and a large multi-discipline firm is looking to add a Project Manager to their growing team in Calgary working in their growing Justice studio. With decades of experience in the industry & multiple award recognitions for sustainability, design, planning & development this is a special opportunity to make an impact on the built environment. *hybrid opportunity

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and guide all aspects of project delivery, from defining deliverables and setting schedules to managing budgets and ensuring each phase stays on track.
  • Create and manage detailed work plans for both architectural and engineering teams, assigning resources and monitoring progress to keep projects moving forward.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams in upholding rigorous quality standards, especially for construction documents and technical specifications.
  • Stay closely attuned to the project’s scope, proactively addressing changes by negotiating solutions that align with client goals and contractual requirements.
  • Facilitate collaboration with contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities to resolve construction challenges and document key decisions.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams, building strong relationships and ensuring open, consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Architecture or Technical program.
  • 10+ years of experience in project management, preferably in justice, civic or public sector projects
  • Solid understanding project accounting, strategic development, business development, project management and client management.
  • Well-versed in local building codes and municipal bylaws.
  • Proficient in leading project delivery and collaboration using industry-standard PM platforms, including Procore and Newforma.

The successful candidate will receive a compensation package of $90K-110K (dependent on experience) + bonus or OT and RRSP.
