Want to be a part of the Pivot Festival?

Work with Norah and Jacob and others to plan, coordinate, communicate logistics and deliver Nakai Theatre’s annual festiva l January 5-25, 2026.

Deadline to Submit: September 4, 2025

SCHEDULE AND RATE

Starting part time in September/October (negotiable), and full time through January during the festival.

$30 / hour.

Budgeted for about 200 hours at $30/hour.

During January work on evenings and weekends are regular. All positions fall under Nakai’s policies, available at nakaitheatre.com/policies

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail oriented person who is able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Being very organized and having excellent communication skills.
• Currently living in the Yukon and able to commute to Whitehorse.
• Post-secondary and/or experience and interest in theatre or arts.
• Comfortable and capable with computers; experience with Google Docs, MS Office, MS Teams is preferred.
• Ability to work from home on a computer with access to the internet is preferred.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• First aid / CPR training is an asset.
• Be legally able to work in the Yukon.

Responsibilities as the Associate Producer will include:

• Identifying, sourcing and gathering materials required for festival;
• Creating and maintaining schedules;
• Partner relations and follow up;
• Assisting with set-up and delivery on-site;
• Organizing and communicating logistics to artists and participants;
• Helping to ensure participants are comfortable and have what they need to participate in the festival.
• Participate in marketing and social media activities.

• Act as a respectful and responsible representative of Nakai Theatre;
• Other related duties as delegated by the Nakai team.
