What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a dedicated Native-Level English Teacher who:

• Is currently living in Osaka and holds a valid work visa (student visas not accepted)
• Has a university degree (required for visa sponsorship)
• Holds a 120-hour TEFL or TESOL qualification
• Demonstrates basic Japanese proficiency
• Has teaching experience with all ages.
• Enjoys connecting with all ages —from 3-year-olds to adult professionals and retirees. Experience with children and a genuine interest in working with young learners are a significant advantage.

We’re looking for a dedicated English Language Teacher to join our small but growing team.

What We’re Looking For

• A teacher who enjoys working with a wide range of students — from young children (3 years and up) to adults, including professionals and retirees.
• Someone with teaching experience and genuine passion for helping learners succeed.
• Experience with children is a strong plus, as this is a growing area for us.
• A real interest in working with young learners is essential.

About Us

• Foreign-owned, family-run language school based in Osaka.
• 180–250 students weekly, across all ages.

Work Schedule

• Tuesday–Friday: 12:00 PM – 9:30 PM (lessons usually start between 2:00–3:00 PM)
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• 4–7 lessons per day, each 45–50 minutes.

Benefits & Time Off

Typical Responsibilities

As an English teacher at Osaka Language Academy, you’ll play a key role in delivering engaging, student-centered lessons and contributing to our school community.

Classroom Management

• Create a supportive, organized learning environment that maximizes speaking time and provides tailored correction.

Lesson Planning & Delivery

• Prepare and teach lessons for a variety of ages and levels, from preschoolers to adults.

Homework & Communication

• Assign and email homework to adult students when needed. Maintain clear communication with learners.

Feedback & Assessment

• Provide constructive feedback on oral and written work.

Events & Activities

• Help organize and take part in school events, parties, dinners, and excursions.

Marketing & Promotion

• Share ideas and assist with marketing initiatives to promote the school.

Professional Development

• Join regular and team meetings.

Administration

• Keep accurate student records, including attendance and progress reports.
