Experienced Customs Broker

(REMOTE)

For over 150 years, I. H. Mathers has been a trusted supplier of dependable, highly efficient, marine, offshore, and logistics services. We offer a comprehensive range of services including: marine agency, offshore logistics, cargo handling, warehousing, freight forwarding, offshore personnel, and customs brokerage.

We are currently seeking a Certified/Senior Customs Broker to support our growing operations. This fast paced position requires a dedicated team player with strong multi-tasking capabilities and exceptional customer service.

Mathers is headquartered in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and has offices in St. John's, Newfoundland & Labrador and Ottawa, Ontario. This position can be based from any remote Canadian location.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, check and process/complete customs documents with accuracy and timeliness in a Single Window Environment
• Classify goods according to tariff coding system/calculate duty and tax on shipment
• Maintain excellent working relationship with clients and 3rd Party Vendors
• Excellent customer service and problem solving

Key Skills:

• Broad base of customs brokerage knowledge and experience in all modes Air/Ocean/Truck/Rail Courier - LVS
• Temporary Entries, Voluntary Entries, other paper entries
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent computer skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities; effective time management skills

Qualifications:

• CCS, CTCS or Professional Qualification required
• Post-secondary education and/or relevant job training
• Five or more years experience in a senior Broker role
