Position Summary

The yard attendant is responsible for the efficient and organized operation of a storage yard or outdoor facility

Job descriptions

• Drive company vehicles (trailers, tractors, loaders and forklifts) safely and in accordance with their intended use.
• Deliver different types of machines and vehicles to our sites and ensure their transport between them.
• Loading and unloading vehicle materials, ensuring proper handling and safety of items.
• Perform inspections before and after each trip to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the vehicle and equipment used for waste removal.
• Any other related duties and functions.

Qualifications

• Class 5 driver's licence with 0 demerit points (class 1 or 3 an asset)
• Relevant experience in a similar function
• High School Diploma
• Experience in forklift driving and card
• Experience driving heavy machinery is an asset
• Team player, organizational skills, autonomous
• Ability to physically work and lift loads of up to 23 kg 
• Good level of communication in French, English is an asset
• Able to use software
