Job Description

A leading Japanese global manufacturer is seeking a Head of Tax to drive strategic tax planning and compliance across its international operations. With more than 50% of the revenue generated overseas and a rapidly evolving global structure, this role offers a unique opportunity to lead tax transformation in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead global tax strategy including transfer pricing, APA, and international tax planning
Oversee Japanese tax compliance and reporting
Provide strategic tax advice on cross-border transactions, M&A, and business restructuring
Collaborate with global finance teams and external advisors to ensure regulatory compliance
Monitor global tax law changes and assess business impact
Engage with tax authorities and manage audits and negotiations
Integrate tax planning into broader financial and business strategies

Requirements:
Extensive experience in international and Japanese tax, including transfer pricing
Proven track record in a corporate tax department, tax advisory firm, or consulting firm
Fluency in Japanese and English is essential
Experience in the manufacturing industry is highly preferred
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
