Hotel Manager

Active Life Japan owns and manages a growing network of hotels located primarily in Madarao Kogen Ski Resort (Nagano Prefecture), one of Japan’s hidden gems known for its finest powder (aka ‘Madapow’).

Responsibilities :

• Manage and oversee the hotel's daily operations
• Customer relationship and satisfaction management
• Management of the hotel's department and areas (Front, Reservation, Housekeeping, F&B)
• Performance management and cost control for budgeting and maximising profits of the hotel group
• Manage hotel bookings with the Revenue Management team to achieve the Revenue Target
• Customer service, quality management and safety management
• Analysis, policy planning, and execution for improving issues for improving business performance and guest experience 
• Planning of hotel personnel system, rostering, training of team members, education, guidance, consultation, etc. 
• Work closely with our OTA and Agency partners to maximize reservations and revenue 
• Work closely with various support teams, such as the Marketing Departmen, to develop campaigns and maximise reservations

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Managed Ski resort experience.
• Innovative thinker who drives self and others in the development and implementation of new ideas
• Able to communicate in English (Fluent) and Japanese (N2 or above)
• Good leadership skills

Working place: Hotel XPLORE Tarumoto, Myoko City, Niigata Prefecture

Working hours: 40 hours per week 

Holiday: 180 days per year, depending on snow conditions
