Position Overview As a Power Saw Operator (Slasher) you will be working closely on a small crew supporting our client in several different locations and terrains.
The pay rate is $22.30- $27.57 per hour, depending on qualification and position. Job Duties - Brush cutting using Chainsaw or Brushsaw.
- Working on steep slopes and uneven ground.
- Groundwork support for trimming operations.
- Chipper operation and loading brush.
- Assist the Foreperson in job- site setup, debris removal, cleanup and equipment maintenance.
- Abide by Davey and Industry safety policies and procedures.
- Providing excellent customer service.
Qualifications - Minimum of 2 years’ experience with maintenance and safe power saw operation.
- Valid provincial driver’s license. Licensed to drive a 5-ton vehicle and air brake endorsement considered an asset.
- Willingness to work towards becoming a certified arborist.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
- Valid First Aid certification
- Enform or Forest Safety Council training preferred.
- Ability to work safely as part of a team and possess the willingness to learn and progress.
