Job Description

Airswift is seeking a seasoned Procurement & Contracts Specialist to support one of our Energy Clients, on a 1 year contract position in Calgary, AB.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and vendor management within the Oil & Gas sector, particularly in midstream environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end procurement activities for capital projects, including pipeline and facility construction.
• Develop, negotiate, and manage complex contracts (EPC, service agreements, material supply, etc.).
• Collaborate with project teams to align procurement strategies with project timelines and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
• Conduct market analysis and supplier evaluations to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
• Manage vendor relationships and performance, including dispute resolution and contract enforcement.
• Support risk management initiatives through robust contract terms and supplier vetting.
• Maintain accurate procurement documentation and reporting for audit and project tracking.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 7–10 years of procurement/contracts experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with a focus on midstream operations.
• Proven track record supporting capital projects, pipelines, and facilities.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian procurement laws and industry practices.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and contract management tools.
