Senior Project Manager

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our client’s Utility Management team, delivering innovative, data-driven solutions for sustainable water and wastewater services. In this role, you will lead major projects, guide multidisciplinary teams, and support business development across Western Canada and Ontario. YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

• Acting as Project Management Lead for the Utility Management sector in water and wastewater system planning.
• Reviewing and sealing work products as required.
• Leading proposal preparation and business development initiatives for water and wastewater planning projects in Western Canada and Ontario.
• Coordinating tasks and deliverables across technical teams.
• Managing project scopes, schedules, and budgets while ensuring adherence to quality management processes.
• Overseeing task coordination and resource allocation within the Utility Management team and across other sectors and offices.
• Contributing technical expertise and completing project work as needed.
• Supervising and mentoring staff when appropriate.
• Developing technical articles and abstracts, and delivering presentations at conferences and industry events as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Professional Engineering license (P.Eng.) in Alberta, BC, or another Canadian province.
• 10–15 years of experience in hydraulic modeling, capital planning, water/wastewater data analysis, or related areas.
• At least 5–10 years of experience managing significant projects (>$200k) and leading business development or proposal efforts.
• Previous engineering consulting experience, or demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a consulting environment.
• Positive, motivated, and professional demeanor.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate in multi-disciplinary and hybrid team settings.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Physically able to conduct field visits as required by project work.
