Position Overview

Axxiome Canada is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Manager (Consultant) to lead strategic client engagements in the Calgary region. This hybrid role combines strong delivery management with client relationship ownership and business development. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with proven success in managing enterprise-level transformation initiatives, building C-suite relationships, and identifying opportunities for growth.

You will serve as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders, overseeing successful project delivery while also driving account expansion and revenue generation. This position requires on-site presence in Calgary (4 days per week, with flexibility for 1 remote day).

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients and Axxiome project teams, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and trust.
  • Manage full project lifecycle activities: planning, execution, monitoring, risk management, and closing.
  • Ensure client engagements are delivered on-time, on-budget, and aligned with Axxiome’s quality standards.
  • Develop strategic relationships with C-suite and executive stakeholders across IT and business functions.
  • Achieve or exceed annual sales and revenue targets by identifying opportunities for account growth, up-selling, and cross-selling.
  • Perform all aspects of the sales cycle, from prospecting and solution presentation to negotiation, closing, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Collaborate with Axxiome’s partner network and internal teams (including offshore resources) to align client needs with Axxiome’s service offerings.
  • Track and manage project financials, resource utilization, billing, and Statements of Work.
  • Provide timely updates on sales activity, pipeline, and revenue forecasts in CRM systems.
  • Support business development efforts through proposal input, client scoping, and participation in internal sales meetings.
  • Oversee team performance and resourcing, including onboarding and performance tracking for assigned staff.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, reporting, and governance standards.
  • Contribute to special projects and initiatives as required to support Axxiome’s growth strategy.

Requirements

Must-Haves:

  • 7+ years of experience in IT project management , with at least 3 years in client-facing roles
  • Proven experience managing complex enterprise transformation or implementation projects
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Able to manage multiple workstreams and dependencies across business and technical teams
  • Willingness and ability to be on-site in Calgary 4 out of 5 days per week
  • Comfortable with billable consulting work (client-facing delivery role)
  • Experience working in banking, financial services, or insurance sectors is strongly preferred
  • PMP, Scrum Master, or equivalent certification is an asset

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with SAP Banking , Temenos , or other core banking platforms
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Ability to lead pre-sales engagements , including client workshops and RFP responses
  • Knowledge of change management and organizational readiness practices
