Job Description

Agilus is recruiting for a Senior Vessel Designer / Checker in the Oil & Gas Industry in Edmonton, Alberta.

Reporting to the Drafting Manager, the Senior Vessel Designer / Checker is an integral part of the drafting team.

A typical day:

• Create accurate 3D vessel models
• Create accurate vessel detail drawings
• Check and approve vendor supplied vessel drawings
• Carry out vessel checking as and when required
• Mentor junior and intermediate vessel designers
• Create and maintain vessel drawing standards
• Create and Maintain vessel standard drawings
• Make recommendations for improved process and efficiency

Successful candidates will have:

• 10+ Years experience in vessel design and fabrication
• Proficient in the use of Cadworx 3D software and AutoCAD (2D and 3D)
• Strong knowledge of vessel fabrication processes
• Strong knowledge of vessel design
• Excellent communications skills
• Able to work individually and as part of a team
