Position Overview

Calian is seeking 2 Intermediate Technical Writers to assist our client with the facilitation of their project.

Responsibilities

• Develop content: Research and write concept, design, and discussion papers on future CA and military capability topics.
• Gathering information, analyzing the subject and the audience, and producing clear documentation
• Creating accurate, complete and concise documentation to communicate the needs of the requirement using word-processing, desk-top publishing and graphics software packages to produce final camera-ready copy
• Reviewing documents, drawings and associated data for conformance to established standards while following governmental publishing guidelines
• Deliver briefings: Present key ideas, updates, and terminology changes.
• Modifying, validating and compiling documents and conveying technical material in a concise, effective manner

Qualifications

• Must have a post-secondary degree from a Canadian University or College
• Must have 2 years of experience, within the last 6 years, in creating or contributing to military policy, military concepts & design or military doctrine documents

Additional Requirements

• Must have or be eligible to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level
