Title: Merchandise Analyst

Location: Hybrid – Bolton & North York, ON (2 days onsite at each location, Friday remote)

Pay: $25/hr

Schedule: 40 hours/week

Contract: 12 months (possible extension)

Travel Requirement: Candidate must have their own car to travel between locations

Position Overview

The Visual Specialist supports the execution of in-store visual merchandising programs, signage, and fixture solutions. Working closely with Visual Merchandisers, vendors, and cross-functional teams, the role ensures accurate, timely, and effective delivery of visual projects. The Specialist contributes to prototypical set execution, standards development, and project coordination while maintaining strong attention to detail and creativity.

Key Responsibilities

Project Support

• Assist in developing and executing signage, fixturing, and merchandising standards.
• Support prototypical bay builds at the Innovation Centre, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of project inputs.

Visual Execution

• Translate creative direction into actionable in-store visual solutions.
• Gather competitive insights, photos, and feedback to support visual innovation.
• Ensure compliance with visual merchandising standards across assigned projects.

Documentation & Process

• Prepare visual decks, documentation, and project recaps for leadership and store execution.
• Maintain organized records of creative files, prototypes, and visual guidelines.
• Track and report progress against timelines, escalating issues as needed.

Skills & Tools

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, or other design software (asset)
• Visual merchandising and retail presentation expertise
• Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines

Reporting & Team Structure

• Reports to: Senior Visual Merchandiser (or Manager, Visual Merchandising)
• Direct Reports: None

Travel & Physical Requirements

• Travel as required for Innovation Centre builds, store visits, or vendor reviews
• Ability to assist with hands-on prototypical set builds and fixture/signage handling

Hybrid & Working Environment

• Hybrid role: office + field-based as needed
• Work locations include office, stores, and Innovation Centre

Education & Experience

• Post-secondary education in Design, Merchandising, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 1–2 years’ experience in retail merchandising, visual design, or related field
• Retail visual merchandising or design agency experience preferred
