Job Description

Adecco is looking for a HSE Lead to join our client’s team in Kitimat, BC . This is a full-time, temporary opportunity (6-month contract) within the health, safety, and environmental (HSE) sector . If you have experience in HSE leadership and enjoy working collaboratively to ensure safe and compliant operations, this role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a culture of safety within a professional and dynamic organization.

  • Salary: $50–$70/hour
  • Location: Kitimat, British Columbia, Canada
  • Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (6-month contract)
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing the client’s safety systems and processes within the region of accountability
  • Review safety exposures and current status, recommending and implementing solutions to improve standards
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, company policies, and safety practices
  • Monitor safety performance within the region and coordinate regular safety audits
  • Advise line management on critical safety issues and recommend actions to reduce risks
  • Facilitate HSE risk assessments and identify hazards in collaboration with line management
  • Coach line leaders, including contractors, on all safety-related matters
  • Develop innovative solutions to safety challenges across the workforce

Requirements

  • Previous experience in HSE leadership or related roles
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
