Job Overview:

Reporting directly to the Head of Fitness & Program Development, The Fitness Floor Coach plays a key role in delivering an exceptional member experience by providing guidance and support on the gym floor, promoting fitness programs and services, facilitating group classes, and designing personalized workout plans. This role also assists with front desk operations, conducts fitness assessments and orientations, and helps maintain a safe, welcoming, and energized environment for all members.

• Coach and supervise the gym floor.
• Assist with gym front desk reception duties as required.
• Promote fitness events, classes and personal training to members.
• Help to facilitate group exercise classes both in person and online via Zoom.
• Design customized fitness programs for members.
• Conduct fitness appraisals and gym orientations.
• Perform punctual opening and closing of the facility following appropriate security procedures.
• Attend staff meetings.

Job Qualifications:

• A degree or diploma within Fitness or related field and/or equivalent experience; experience in private club is an asset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
• Availability to work primarily evening shifts (4:00 PM – 9:00 PM), with additional availability for some mornings, weekends, and holidays
