Maxxit Group works closely with architects and contractors to translate design intent into beautiful, durable, easy-to-install architectural components for commercial and retail projects across North America. With manufacturing facilities in Toronto Ontario, Maxxit specializes in design assist, project management, and fabrication of innovative interior and exterior architectural solutions.

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

Maxxit Group is currently looking for an experienced full time Senior Designer . The incumbent will create detailed and accurate technical drawings, plans, and 3D models using specialized CAD software for Maxxit’s architectural projects.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, fabricators, and project managers to ensure designs are both creative and feasible within project constraints.
• Produce detailed drawings, 3D models and design documents for fabrication and construction teams.
• Review and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and other relevant materials to accurately represent design intent.
• Develop and implement design solutions that balance aesthetic goals with technical requirements, such as material selection and structural integrity, and fabrication limitations.
• Participate in design reviews and present concepts and progress to internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and meeting tight deadlines
• Oversee the prototyping and testing of design concepts, ensuring quality and functionality
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• A bachelor's degree in in a relevant program such as, architecture, or industrial design.
• Proficiency in using CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Rhino, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar tools.
• Proven experience as a Designer with 5-10 yrs experience is a must
• Strong understanding of architectural materials, fabrication processes and construction methods
• Proven experience in managing and leading design projects from concept to production
• Effective verbal and visual skills to conveying design concepts / sketches to team members and stakeholders.
• Efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a hands-on approach to design and fabrication challenges.
