As a Sushi Chef will be responsible for making sushi and other offerings in compliance with recipes and standards at O-Kizushi, while delivering an exceptional customer experience. You are responsible for making sushi with our fresh toppings.

Job Responsibilities:

• Create high quality sushi including cooking rice, rolling sushi, temperature recording, cutting and packaging sushi products
• Ensure all operating standards including food safety and quality are strictly adhered to
• Show gratitude and greet every guest with a big, genuine smile and eye contact by following the HCARE standard
• Provide a high level of attention to guest satisfaction and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of sushi station
• Order and receive raw materials and dry good
• Perform monthly inventory and train of new teammates as required
• Complete opening and closing duties efficiently and safely, using the correct procedures
• Complete all assigned daily, weekly and monthly cleaning duties
• Be a team player; have lots of fun and support other teammates

Qualifications:

We are seeking people who enjoy working with diverse cultures and thrive in fast-paced environments. Kitchen, food service environment or food prep experience preferred.    Candidate must exhibit strong customer service and communication skills.       Additional requirements include:

• Effective English communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment while maintaining a friendly demeanor
• Ability to stand for an extended period of time
• Flexibility to work various shifts and weekends
• Likes dealing with people and loves making sushi
• Ability to work as part of a solid team; proven team player
