Job Description

Summary:
We are looking for a seasoned Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to enhance the efficiency and reliability of our cloud-based infrastructure. This role involves maintaining system uptime, managing incidents, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize performance.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Reliability Management: Establish reliability goals and error budgets, define/monitor Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and enhance Service Level Objectives (SLOs) continuously.
• Incident Management: Handle on-call responsibilities, triage and respond to incidents, execute emergency remediations, and lead post-incident reviews.
• Monitoring & Operations: Actively oversee system health, develop monitoring solutions, manage logs/dashboards/alerts, and detect deviations from SLOs.
• Process Optimization: Standardize incident management practices across the organization, provide training, and boost metrics like Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) and Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR).
• Architecture & Planning: Map critical workflows and dependencies, offer architectural insights, and take charge of capacity planning and cost reductions.
• Change Management: Design change management strategies and solutions for monitoring, disaster recovery, and gradual deployment mechanisms (i.e., canary releases).

Essential Qualifications (Mandatory):

• 5+ years of experience in SRE and/or DevOps roles within cloud-based environments.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Go, Rust, or Python.
• Hands-on expertise in managing large-scale production systems leveraging cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Istio, Kubernetes, Grafana).
• English language skills at a business proficiency level.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent applicable experience).
• Demonstrated ability to deliver impactful results both independently and in teams.
• Proficiency in Japanese at a business level.
• Experience utilizing infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.

Collaborative Environment:
You will work in close partnership with fellow SREs, developers, Product Owners, and Product Managers to champion the reliability and operational excellence of our technical infrastructure.
